Connecting Google Sheets

The Google Sheets integration builds you a live spreadsheet of your BarSight data — sales, labour, bookings, and more — that updates automatically as you work, so you can build your own charts and reports in a tool you already know.

Before You Start

• You need a Google account.
• Connecting requires Settings access (access level 27).

What This Integration Does

When you connect Google Sheets, BarSight automatically builds a single spreadsheet — the BarSight System Sheet — with a tab for each area that applies to your business, such as Employees, Labour, Daily Sales, Bookings, Events, Reservations, and Tips, plus brewery-specific tabs if the Brewery module is active.

Day-to-day, this updates itself: whenever cash transactions post and your register balance recalculates, that day's sales row updates on the sheet automatically. You don't need to click anything for regular updates.

Connecting Google Sheets

1. Go to Settings → Integrations.
2. Find the Google Sheets tile and click Activate.
3. Log into your Google account and approve access.
4. BarSight builds your spreadsheet automatically — no setup needed on your end.
5. Click Open Sheet any time to view it in Google Sheets.

Rebuilding the Sheet

If you ever need to start fresh, click Rebuild Sheets. This clears and rewrites every tab from scratch, reloading all your current data.

Be careful: rebuilding a tab wipes anything you've added to it directly in Google Sheets — extra columns, notes, or formulas will be lost. Some pages also offer a narrower "Rebuild" button for just one section (like Brewery Production or Crew), which only touches that tab, not the whole sheet.

Tips and Limitations

• The regular automatic sync only updates rows by matching a date or employee ID in the first column — it won't touch other columns you've added, as long as you don't edit that first column yourself.
• If you revoke BarSight's access from your Google account settings, syncing will stop until you reconnect from BarSight.
