Connecting Elavon (Payments)
Connecting Elavon (Payments)
The Elavon integration lets you securely store a wholesale customer's credit card and charge it against their orders and invoices, using Elavon Converge's hosted card form so card numbers never touch BarSight's servers.
Before You Start
- You need an active Elavon Converge merchant account.
- Have your Merchant ID, User ID, and Converge terminal PIN ready.
- Connecting requires Settings access (access level 27).
What This Integration Does
Like Moneris, this is a payment-collection tool for wholesale customers rather than a walk-in POS connection. Once set up, you can:
- Store a customer's card on file through a secure hosted form.
- Charge that card against an order or invoice balance.
- Email a customer a secure link to enter or update their own card.
- Run a $0 verification check to confirm a card is still valid before charging it.
- Issue refunds back to the card for a completed payment.
Connecting Elavon
- Go to Settings → Integrations.
- Find the Elavon tile and click Activate.
- Enter your Merchant ID, User ID, and PIN from your Elavon Converge account.
- Save. The button changes to Configuration once connected.

Using Elavon
Once connected, an Elavon Vault box appears on each customer's profile, showing their card on file (masked) with options to update it or request one by email.

On an order's payment screen, you'll see the card type, masked number, expiry, a live valid/invalid check, and a Charge Card on File button.

Tips and Limitations
- Only one card can be on file per customer at a time — saving a new card replaces the old one.
- A declined charge still shows up on the order as an unpaid payment attempt, so you can see it happened.
- Refunds can only be issued against the specific charge that was processed through Elavon, up to the amount of that original payment.
